[ perhaps it's better, then, that he can't see eichi's face, can't see the way eichi's hand stalls above his cheek. and for a moment, when eichi's breath falters, he wonders if he's said something wrong - whether he was too blunt, too straightforward, and those few seconds feel much longer than they should be.

what he feels next is the gentle press of eichi's fingers on his cheek, just underneath the line of the blindfold, and the way eichi brushes the hair from his face. it's an intimate gesture that he's not entirely expecting, but it doesn't stop keito from leaning into it, and--

that's all he was looking for, honestly. but then eichi catches him off guard again by kissing him once more, his lips pressed to keito's and that actually tells keito all that he needs to know, with how warm it is. this isn't the first time they've kissed, but already keito can tell that it's different. it certainly feels that way.

when eichi moves in closer, it's when keito tentatively moves as well, using the small points of contact between them to figure out how best to touch eichi, fingertips gliding tentatively along the skin of eichi's shoulder and down his arm, careful enough to try and touch him in the right places. he's trying - this is still new to him, after all.

it's only when he needs air that he's willing to break the kiss, using the hold he has on eichi's bars shoulder to gently dig his fingertips into his skin and break them apart for the moment.

there's another pause, for a few seconds, but he already knows his answer. ]

I believe you. [ it lacks the rude edge that seems to coat keito's words more often than not. ] I trust you.

[ and that's keito's way of saying that eichi can go as far as he wants, with what he's planned, and it takes another few seconds for keito to cover eichi's hand with his. ]

I thought I was supposed to be the worrywart, Eichi.
