pls don't judge me I have so many injured guren icons okay
[Compared to this, the talking furniture from ages ago seemed almost pleasant. The door clicks shut behind them, and Guren almost wants to drop down right here. It's the first building they've come across in a while now— some sort of cabin in the woods that's falling apart just like the rest of the town they'd started in. Guren was bleeding from a variety of areas— a number of spots on his torso, his head, his face, his thigh— and that doesn't even start on the broken bones he's sporting, but he had a demon to take care of those injuries.
The man he was trying to support next to him was a different story. Hadn't they said something about not wanting to test if he could die and come back...?]
Look at me, Dex. [Guren wasn't trying to hide his worry now. He'd arrived too late, or at least that's his perspective. He shows up and something is nearly finished toying with Dextera like he's some sort of doll— something grey, with wings. Guren couldn't grasp what was happening, but interrupting had shown him that he was nearly outmatched. Nearly. With some biting words, he'd slain the creature(?) just before he was about to be offed himself. It was risky, to say the least.
But they're indoors now. Indoors, and there have to be supplies they can make use of somewhere. He staggers his next step forward as he tries to lead Dextera in, coughing blood against the back of his own hand. He's noticing that even his own injuries are staying longer than usual, somehow...]
Damn it...
[But he needs to know how Dextera is doing. How much can he handle? Guren doesn't want to find out his limit right now. One hand grips at Dextera's shoulder. They've been supporting each other the whole walk here, and he's trying not to weigh him down. His other hand, though the back of it is bloody now, rests against Dextera's chest carefully.] Sit down here.

he’s relaxed, and he fully laces their hands together as he leans against guren, their shoulders bumping softly. he glances up, without moving his head especially far. ]
Maybe it’s a good thing we came here.
[ they should still get out, but... for now... this is nice. ]
no subject
[He swings his own legs in the water once or twice, letting them relax as he squeezes at Dextera's hand, instead. It's been terrible in plenty of ways, but he's grateful for the events that lead up to this. Their time in the cabin, their time here...]
I think so. We were able to end up together. [He nudges his body weight against him, slight, just enough to keep touching even when they're already pressed arm to arm.] I don't want to go anywhere else right now.
no subject
Guren.
[ he’s soft, immensely grateful for what they’ve found in this privacy. ]
I... [ he pauses, shyly. ] I like you. A lot.
no subject
He manages to look calm as he watches Dextera's shy face and then looks down to their joined hands, but he's worried that he's going to ruin this. Dextera was mute for a while, and he still handles those words better than Guren.]
...
[He lets out the breath he was holding, instead, and when that's not enough, he closes the small distance between their faces and kisses Dextera sweetly on the lips. He hopes that's clear enough, as he's squeezing his hand.]
no subject
Mm...
[ he doesn’t want anything but this moment, together with guren.
he kisses back, craning so he can more easily close that gap between their heights without disturbing their positions on the water’s edge. he feels better now, in all ways, his heart lightened by guren’s eager reception of his feelings. ]
You don’t have to say anything. [ against his mouth, followed by another kiss. ] I know.
no subject
He leans forward, kissing him still, angling his body to face him straight on, stretching his leg to brush against and between Dextera’s. ]
You could do better than a guy like me. [ Finally, he manages something, continuing his kissing immediately after to make it clear that he’s not actually worried. Determination has him going for keeping Dextera close, even if he deserves better. Guren is too greedy. ]
no subject
he “likes” guren “a lot.” ]
I don’t want anyone else.
[ he parts from the kiss, his face flushed from equal parts pleasure and embarrassment. ]
I just want you.
no subject
You’ve got me. [ Leaning forward slowly, he kisses at his jaw, fingers lacing through his hair. He can’t stop this affection. It’s all he wants to do, to be this close. ] I’m not going anywhere.
no subject
there's a time and place for banter, but he can't seem to make himself offer it up now when he's being so sincere—when he thinks guren is being sincere too, in his own way. it's the kiss against his jaw, the fingers in his hair. he pulls his legs a little bit out of the water, and it doesn't even feel cold with how warm his body is from affection. ]
...we're alone.
[ a simple observation............. or is it? ]
no subject
So we are. [ What a leading statement. Those words alone have his heart beating fast, and it has to mean that Dextera is implying what he thinks he’s implying... ] What should we do about it?
[ Go on, tell him, he wants to hear it... ]
no subject
dextera almost wishes he were mute again so he had an excuse not to say it—but things are as they are, and he's well, his voice is in tact, and it's hard to ask for anything to be different when this is already more than he could have thought to want. ]
I don't know yet... but my wounds are healed.
[ he's stalling!!! ]
no subject
You brought it up, but you don’t know? [ He’s the cruelest, teasing like this... Dextera let him say nothing just moments ago, but he won’t extend the same offer?! ] If you don’t want to say it, just do something about it.
no subject
but he doesn't actually want to back out. he's navigating through these feelings, these desires, and he's not afraid to make mistakes as long as it's with guren. all of this is a learning process. ]
...
[ just do something, huh? he can certainly try.
so he kisses guren, his legs fully leaving the water so that he has a better angle—this kiss is a little more than just sweetness. it's wanting, edging toward hungry now that he's gotten the idea in his head and guren has baited him. his actions do, indeed, speak louder than words. ]
no subject
There you go. [ Muttered with a smile against his lips, he’s still tugging at Dextera’s shirt, asking him closer and closer. But the kiss doesn’t stay broken for long, and he’s just as soon pressing back into it with a hum of pleasure. ]
no subject
but it's not too bad, to be here, doing this. taking the lead in a way, even if he's only initiated the kiss and has yet to see where it'll go. maybe they'll just touch each other, and nothing else will happen here—or maybe not. it's hard to say at this point, but they're probably not going to get sleep for a little longer yet. (not that that's the worst thing that could happen to them.)
they've gotten plenty of practice with kissing over the past few days, and once dextera has made up his mind to do this, he doesn't seem quite so embarrassed as he did bringing it up verbally. he's moving closer, his fingers slipping into guren's hair. his tongue, into guren's mouth. ]
no subject
Mm— [He wants more, of course. Even if they just fool around for a while before they sleep, he can't imagine anything better. This time together, doing whatever they want, staying close... it's like a dream.
Pulling his other leg out of the water, finally, he leans back slowly in the kiss, his arm around Dextera's waist guiding him with him. He doesn't want to yank him over and interrupt this kiss, but he does want to get more comfortable, however they end up rolling around or turning to arrange that. The hand in his hair is nice, though. No one's ever really touched his hair so gently like that.]
no subject
the way they end up, by the water’s edge, is with dextera in front of—over guren, taking advantage of the gentle way he’s leaning back to lean forward into the kiss.
he doesn’t realize how they’ve shifted into this aggressive position until he parts for air, and he pauses... then laughs, surprised to find himself on top. ]
Sorry.
no subject
Moving onto his back had been a thing of convenience more than anything else. Quick comfort, a deeper kiss— but now, seeing Dextera in front of the view of the sky and the edges of cliffs in his peripheral, he realizes that he prefers this view. Something open and refreshing as a backdrop, and a sky that's missing its moon seems that much more complete.
His smirk doesn't really cover the gentle fondness in his eyes.]
Sorry for what? [He's out of breath himself, and he laughs while saying it. One of his hands reaches up, touching his fingertips to Dextera's cheek.] I'm only going to take it if you're apologizing for stopping.
no subject
he’s not worried about anything, with guren’s fingers against his face. ]
You’re down there. I’m getting your shirt dirty.
[ he smiles, expression warm, and he incredibly has the upper body strength to keep himself propped up as he returns to the kiss—moving against guren with clear interest. ]
no subject
Completely, he’s overwhelmed by this feeling. Eventually, he wants more than this, and he drags one hand down and over Dextera’s chest. Fingers slip beneath the hem of his shirt, palm pressing flat against skin, moving back up to search for reactions.
He can’t believe he gets to just fool around like this. ]
no subject
but then, despite the heavy breath and quiet gasps against their kiss, dextera breaks apart and shakes his head—which might seem like a rejection, except, he's smiling. ]
Let me take care of you.
no subject
[ He doesn’t know what that means or what it could mean?? But he knows that Dextera is thinking sweetly somehow ]
Weren’t you already?
no subject
he's horny! there's no other word for it, and there are some specific things he's overheard from vulgar friends, vulgar places, and now that he's feeling warm and almost giddy like this, he wants to... try it. is that crazy? maybe. ]
Differently.
[ a vague, almost playful answer—either way, a nice improvement from how down he was when guren first woke up. he kisses guren's jaw, his neck, happily remembering that guren was sensitive there last time he checked. ]
no subject
Hah— [ He runs his fingers through Dextera’s hair now, his other hand moving around his shoulders as if to keep him close. ]
no subject
he's not as graceful as he wishes he were, but he slips out of guren's gentle grip to move downward, pulling that nice neat shirt free so that his hands can push the fabric up to expose guren's stomach—he's kissing that too, ever lower, and maybe his aims are becoming obvious.
the only sign of his newness to it all is the way he pauses, glancing up to seek guren's face. ]
